<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Vaduz</h2>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Vaduz is the capital of Liechtenstein, a country that some people have probably never heard of before, and people who have heard of it probably don&#8217;t know where it is on the map. In fact, it&#8217;s a tiny country that&#8217;s sandwiched between Switzerland and Austria. Miraculously, this country, originally a part of the Holy Roman Empire, never got conquered. It survived empires rising and falling around it, namely Holy Roman Empire, Napoleon&#8217;s French Empire, Austria-Hungary, the German Empire, and Nazi Germany, just to name a few. Because it survived the political upheaval around it, it is still ruled by a prince (i.e. a principality) like it always was.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><a href="https://photos.google.com/share/AF1QipP2KcXsVwcQ_tGttcdQ69-x5S8TI10ZVwxeW8UwgI2Plnmvm7UhaHflS3f91NhCNQ/photo/AF1QipMhBHBNd_slsDUExTFA_WXIIW9cNzuxWdassucD?key=alpDWmlhcnd3bzhySGgtQ21WczVGcjMyekoxQUx3" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener"><img decoding="async" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/m6dZP_c5CHQ2vnz7jts7iFiUvaPvhLSCaC-J3udonCh5-3t7fmLnDeH6tOVCXZKG--6J3VyIHr7XEn20M8f8zE6GeemcwDUCA2Xw2aMJWUItKw68Qc1p5sn0XsHOja1WUrbaCIbwxYL3zqiRztzv-oKARPao23xSy8vFiqJUN86xPj_cyiWc-2Lr0-AQeLvrHzUS5Fc9phb5Lt74kzOXWyzGZI20_TK7S8nhiMFN5y7WhdsgroiQ9ldvMfVAsSBAvmx8k25api7Vu2W0cgwlHbROo2PBQJ_DdO5iTjTDrqcCggKHyo_WnLKuimQjVuT3r8Fm5AR8U6UrempCwKE8Wb_SaE7sqozNyPKN4V7dQHmzEe3POhBEKG6PPV5BhVt9MJZIimC-henp1ugaWp8_tAPJdFUaSTvnI4U0YDc_9_zjkzkwvNLANiWUfpBoGsSLDlRDozKZlvsNcAiopikmmLuX7uFu3vS2pHrjAQUA0c9962p9Va3rqBDts9qG1B-Ym4_jZyQ2uVjB8EYPSSBd1MmScYjMgVkJxiK8UpuEzZuspo-H8N75og4NahC8n-2CF7GXbC40P8MPlAIligs9qcmPyaKA83sMcfVIn5cB7_omWlzDYj7oQtVm0n1vq-I3wM1A-46srzjQqEIWq3QPS-s2B6D1mt0qlXQ8pfKzCj0uVhdCICkOUHL0GTNjRjaW11TyITDOabSpQWaNl9VPuuxCYg3A-F2IL1ThGM2_q4NmXfFE3w=w1680-h945-no" alt=""/></a></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The above image shows the residence of the prince. It feels like some strange anachronism &#8211; a prince living in a castle on top of a hill ruling over his subjects, but in a modern time.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><a href="https://photos.google.com/share/AF1QipP2KcXsVwcQ_tGttcdQ69-x5S8TI10ZVwxeW8UwgI2Plnmvm7UhaHflS3f91NhCNQ/photo/AF1QipOwznwC27EY7ZZgWnUf2WMxFzAd5eVhstQuWtWP?key=alpDWmlhcnd3bzhySGgtQ21WczVGcjMyekoxQUx3" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener"><img decoding="async" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/AMkVoifesWUaonOzt4IinfGySaJKkvxPPwTIEZANkpr5X6lkMcjV00aIVshPYodftlThVuCKIxW7kTjL8a4a3yDDv44MdKPdW6CXT5FOU1_11gYy-uqQxgUTvlo5g1KllygoSi6FA9SjOQXWe1lux-bPEU1MF2p7mFKNmBNJWD90twSpGR95lJRWd9LuHsKWSdDnaTyo9ralV1sVKPK_Yev8FkcvVNH9XNdxIvBo-hky0B-s51hP9mn6Nx513hpabAdvav_FdobAL3qEzgnK12zO2v53dpTERZB1f8aenRgWv3e0NiCXZyMwMV0fLAkF-5saOwVWPlaglgyac99CCDZfElIIlFhHvGHOlOPDXl3SGWX6MxELHdrrwd34mY11PaytO94E4bYYhXnyTIwAiNkm_Zz6Og3dSqbygkoHuQyObsFiriBK24msXPiMYFcS5u5iIADL2P4HLTE_zpq3OUPm8Q89Lp-x9iq6Gsx0KeYRgbDJg9J1qkpvp-Awrn7SLMNZXfkIswspEt8t-SuO2IPpVpIbg4S6jFFm1RaVyxUMQdUNeODmXoby08t5Al1tFeYCbu_lab3LrcOQwxjvpX-8LouiEbhYcd4vVdhjtASP4TRUHooUh-fZdSKFJVvHmrvz1UaVPic4o8VHm2sVBtA9N8_nkO2yvhdpGcoJ4RO-qF1bIUyxCnVf8Wipppbspp-ota49gWSsh4rE-dgjD5DiQGtm153TzruGHeNi9ept0k34tQ=w1680-h945-no" alt=""/></a></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Even though it&#8217;s the capital of Liechtenstein, it only has ~5000 inhabitants &#8211; by no means large at all. Its vibe is quite different from other European cities &#8211; it doesn&#8217;t have a fancy old town or anything, but there are several museums of art and history, as well as the Princely Wine Cellars, which is a vineyard where guests can do wine tastings.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">I jokingly asked the fellow at the tourist info centre if he&#8217;d ever met the Prince of Liechtenstein, and he actually said yes! He said that everyone who turns 18 gets invited to an event called the Young Citizens Celebration (Jungbürgerfeier) to meet the prince.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Hohenzollern Castle</h2>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">From Vaduz, we drove into Germany, to where the House of Hohenzollern began, Hohenzollern Castle. These are the same Hohenzollerns, whose family members once ruled Prussia and the German Empire, among other places. Even the last Kaiser of the German Empire, Kaiser Wilhelm II, is a Hohenzollern. Today, the castle is still privately owned by the family, </p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The only way to see the interior of the castle is to pay for the guided tour, and on that guided tour there are no photos allowed. The coolest part of the guided tour is the room showing the entire known family tree of the Hohenzollerns. It even goes into detail as to which branch of the family is part of the Catholic Swabian branch, or the Protestant Franconian branch.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Today was the first day of the trip that actually snowed! The last several days were a bit windy and cool, but still above zero centigrade, but suddenly today, the weather dipped and it started snowing!</p>

<figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper">

</div></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">It&#8217;s kind of nice driving while it&#8217;s snowing as long as it&#8217;s not a total blizzard.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Stuttgart</h2>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">In 2011, I spent eight months in Stuttgart for an internship while I was in university, and since then I went back again in 2013 and now again in 2020. I remember in 2013, it still felt pretty nostalgic, but now nine years later, I found that I&#8217;ve forgotten a lot of places and barely knew my way around. The feeling was totally different. It felt a lot more distant &#8211; like a place I used to know.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><a href="https://photos.google.com/share/AF1QipN8NjdS6dNwqgilqRjnbdIK-51Vf6EwqKCjXJLLma7-8KoNpwV2iToAPmJY4s603w/photo/AF1QipPHAzWbFJ1qa9V_Bvf51TQKNCkr1srhmLxF4JiQ?key=X2UwLWh0dks4Z3dPUzNRM1paTlJHakE2ODd3VjdB" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener"><img decoding="async" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/NyhNfrcAQvSAY0ohb_X4C1PrhpZUGramFB9gl6PBIEtsaAeWgaLhXk3ZHJfJX_QDCDmaTAdH2Rg5Di8zqOjDpy47x7p_mjr8uVUBGcNyGjsDjE59seb-8XakvTy2S_HIWXWGsC4Mq04SoZYKUiRx5ToNLoTlVOoteG5QzBCCRdaf_T97r3CvsLAlP01X5EA9FONpX6x1ZL6Ez3vBdtl8-UHeUpgGUewRjJ8L2kOlV5O2C6XH69Xmdb3akFmszRpjj7xI9eXkn9SgkBxy4eKE9f33k8k0MqjuDEx82WCysnf6qdkzY90oQ5r_VHbtNOGVlhG7vd6zWJTo-8HHG73VfIBu2afiMjwqTHsKyfMDIsyiAHF41n2J6jhoHCGNtrNQ2RCpgLXsFSUb6m_-xoalQPgib0doQuA95yU_o5NDlqIlSHM8XmnW7Ytg7ihlWyIsKhMGL5UUdgItYwEXQa9SqNQRr4tBfXR76kFSVbMBNF2hyOBgEp38rvUPUfVqkE3HkNjBzXpiCkZlXJKWw_5MNQUOB_5hBZxce_1pnqJUnw3plhctJmUbETOUtluGddSk7cHny2MMK-8U_rUr6PTj4-REajbgoJlNqB_wZoCVamS2nCMJEN0st3koatTBIZa3WYTRWjGzRwRvJ9bXLnvfnST_EgZYa69QKcbWbRMbELI_Uk-WrAEqRCsIlIUm5NjPddETQ1RGJ6m3eYchxGDoTArlaF5axQ8MFa-JvSNk8bfP8uDrdA=w1680-h945-no" alt=""/></a></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Before we left, we planned to eat at Sophie&#8217;s Brauhaus, the brewery that my friends and I used to go a lot to. I knew what I wanted to order before we even went &#8211; spaetzle with lentils and sausage. Spaetzle is a German pasta with eggs (as a opposed to other types of pasta which may not have as much egg in it). It&#8217;s easily one of the most Swabian dishes there is (Swabia is a region in Germany with its own culture and language). And of course we ordered beers, because after all we were at a brewery. I even ordered a bananenweizen &#8211; a wheat beer mixed with banana juice (yes, it&#8217;s a thing).</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><a href="https://photos.google.com/share/AF1QipN8NjdS6dNwqgilqRjnbdIK-51Vf6EwqKCjXJLLma7-8KoNpwV2iToAPmJY4s603w/photo/AF1QipNQK2qNkly1uajQet-ADM74DADL41rjmh7s4nm1?key=X2UwLWh0dks4Z3dPUzNRM1paTlJHakE2ODd3VjdB" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener"><img decoding="async" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/eczK_GKDkwFE4iOUH7iHPTAl6AYlcQfwtix6-up5UyLTLKQHPMg549d_0WHQHSiyxbwqtCYM07rE4q0kUmQdkKk0heI8VzpuT2EyRIflyyHVdGZRtBRIyN2hppILnNB7FB5e79tnQJgoY6oEC45KrN_ExhTLLBwdnS839mxdmdaCDJ4NXRUJBOHvWp34NgBieqrpG5xuhsP8eZGNde3a_vvT7dzUv3DHoO69wJwudv4SqLPJ6tTcUqp9AQOqbAfuXlSEcDt12Tj0XAlBNkWPhZcFQZBE803sIda6ZwH7MoUFGiXv4aiO4hP962qrwMWhmA0QeQOBAvWRaLyuChXlIwbk5s_gKUfag7WenspDKPwfzbDSRwAOZYNKOm1J56tDGWSAo6SJFKyY-FseWd8_RIgv9Fv5hJzGpqJROtI-FO6x32gFolLv9dqQiBhwAJaKsO00vhJNh5eWMs0BtXNInPTAoWHXFRIH_fpDaCBv30hAAj8za5FPt3SVft2GR8ELK9p-WCAyjmNu-TLJDrvDG905gM3C-MLTKjJD5pnrxO3jQ5of6pxYvM59I759QAgqKsizEQONR4MgAJMAxeUvSNwS6tr6oc9-vQoQHeMCYSMqmqsqlFO48_8GktnD6xh0npvfU7_vJBNbqbLfIFk0bPFJkxteEHAtc5qUq4AWZ2RAddLmFWwU-fQuTus0JmjYoxCRgoMmBl4FUlEUqNRtBrlgqdmxw0xu_q46EpYw0G0GqB65hQ=w1680-h945-no" alt=""/></a></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">When I ate the dish, it didn&#8217;t connect with my nostalgia at all, I just remembered having nostalgia for it. Same with the beer I had. This was the place I had my first real German beer, and now there was zero connection between what I tasted now and the nostalgia. I mean the food and the beer was still delicious, but in my head, I definitely was looking for that emotional connection.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">My next destination after Munich was Stuttgart. I spent the better part of eight months living in Stuttgart during my co-op work term at Bosch and in this Europe trip, I was able to visit this place again. &nbsp;I didn&#8217;t really feel like a tourist here, and it felt like I was a local &#8211; after all, I still knew my way around quite well.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Here, I visited the places that I used to frequent and I still have very fond memories here. It&#8217;s like going home again after a long time, but the difference here is that this was never my real home, but a temporary one. It&#8217;s really hard to explain. I definitely still have an emotional attachment here.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Of course, I went back to probably Stuttgart&#8217;s most recognizable landmark: Schlossplatz. I spent a lot of time here just chilling with my intern friends after work.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">As I walked around the city, all the streets looked pretty much the same as I remembered. There wasn&#8217;t anything super different. I guess that was to be expected.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image">
<figure class="aligncenter"><a href="https://picasaweb.google.com/117972094293741244551/Stuttgart#5897593327126513490" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer"><img data-recalc-dims="1" decoding="async" src="https://i0.wp.com/lh6.googleusercontent.com/-vqmqodzWfX4/Udh14l0XB1I/AAAAAAAAN9Q/zwXrsptf1zg/s912/IMG_9473.JPG?w=1280&#038;ssl=1" alt=""/></a></figure>
</div>

<p class="has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph"></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">I remembered that we always bought donairs from the same shop and so when I went back, I did the same. It tasted just like I remembered.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image">
<figure class="aligncenter"><a href="https://picasaweb.google.com/117972094293741244551/Stuttgart#5897591999949193954" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer"><img data-recalc-dims="1" decoding="async" src="https://i0.wp.com/lh6.googleusercontent.com/-JSpl0WX7Jqk/Udh0rVsoQuI/AAAAAAAAN7g/QbYDApQVdL0/s912/IMG_9459.JPG?w=1280&#038;ssl=1" alt=""/></a></figure>
</div>

<p class="has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph"></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">I also went to Schlosspark to see if the people camping there were still there. When I was in Stuttgart in 2011, there was a huge group of people camping there in protest against clearing the trees in the area for a railway station construction project (Stuttgart 21). But I guess these people were kicked out &#8211; and the trees are gone too.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image">
<figure class="aligncenter"><a href="https://picasaweb.google.com/117972094293741244551/Stuttgart#5897593450611721186" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer"><img data-recalc-dims="1" decoding="async" src="https://i0.wp.com/lh5.googleusercontent.com/-86BWFgR1GDQ/Udh1_x1hw-I/AAAAAAAASjo/_1FudaNr23o/s1280/IMG_9474.JPG?w=1280&#038;ssl=1" alt=""/></a></figure>
</div>

<p class="has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph"></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Before, everyone had their tents set up here. They even strapped teddy bears around trees to prevent people from cutting them down. This was probably the biggest change that I saw in the city.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image">
<figure class="aligncenter"><a href="https://picasaweb.google.com/117972094293741244551/April2011#5687981299053106994" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer"><img data-recalc-dims="1" decoding="async" src="https://i0.wp.com/lh6.googleusercontent.com/-mXGeS1ZY36s/Tu_E2vMgFzI/AAAAAAAASj0/omMg5YiZiEM/s1280/IMG_1906.JPG?w=1280&#038;ssl=1" alt=""/></a></figure>
</div>

<p class="has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph"></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Later that day, I had dinner with one of my intern friends that I met while at Bosch, and we ate at our group of friends&#8217; favourite place: Sophie&#8217;s Brauhaus. The most unique thing about this restaurant that is really different from what people do in North America is that this restaurant brews their own beer. They have the best <a class="zem_slink" title="Wheat beer" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wheat_beer" target="_blank" rel="wikipedia noopener noreferrer">Hefeweizen</a> I&#8217;ve ever had and of course, that&#8217;s what I ordered.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image">
<figure class="aligncenter"><a href="https://picasaweb.google.com/117972094293741244551/Stuttgart#5897592580195671442" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer"><img data-recalc-dims="1" decoding="async" src="https://i0.wp.com/lh3.googleusercontent.com/-ruq0-AA0ph0/Udh1NHSK3ZI/AAAAAAAASjk/VqJaeRcTZRc/s1280/IMG_9464.JPG?w=1280&#038;ssl=1" alt=""/></a></figure>
</div>

<p class="has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph"></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">For dinner, I had <a class="zem_slink" title="Spätzle" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sp%C3%A4tzle" target="_blank" rel="wikipedia noopener noreferrer">Spätzle</a> with Lentils, something I ate all the time when I was living here. The Bosch cafeteria often had this for lunch. My friend had <a class="zem_slink" title="Maultasche" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maultasche" target="_blank" rel="wikipedia noopener noreferrer">Maultaschen</a>, which can be thought of as a giant dumpling, but German style or very large ravioli. All of this was quite nostalgic for me.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image">
<figure class="aligncenter"><a href="https://picasaweb.google.com/117972094293741244551/Stuttgart#5897593723149452914" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer"><img data-recalc-dims="1" decoding="async" src="https://i0.wp.com/lh4.googleusercontent.com/-4Ehr5B1MJPk/Udh2PpHlhnI/AAAAAAAAN9o/v4OlsFJhXwE/s912/IMG_9476.JPG?w=1280&#038;ssl=1" alt=""/></a></figure>
</div>

<p class="has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph"></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">After dinner, we walked around the city some more to see what had changed until my train arrived. After waiting for a train that was delayed for about an hour, I managed to finally make my way to Mannheim, just in time to meet my friends for the <a class="zem_slink" title="RoboCup" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RoboCup" target="_blank" rel="wikipedia noopener noreferrer">RoboCup</a> Workshop we would have with the other two German teams in the international RoboCup competition.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Day 41</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">In an effort for the company to promote socializing with other interns working at Bosch, they organized what’s called a “<a href="http://www.toytowngermany.com/wiki/Stammtisch" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Stammtisch</a>”.&nbsp; Literally translated it means, “regular’s table”.&nbsp; It is a weekly gathering at a restaurant, cocktail bar, or club.&nbsp; Together we drink beer and socialize, hence why I call it the weekly drinking day.&nbsp; I met most of the interns at Bosch through this and I’ve even gone to <a href="https://henrypoon.wordpress.com/2011/02/20/tbingen-and-hohenzollern-castle/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Tubingen</a>, <a href="https://henrypoon.wordpress.com/2011/02/20/tbingen-and-hohenzollern-castle/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Hohenzollern Castle</a>, and <a href="https://henrypoon.wordpress.com/2011/02/21/freiburg-im-breisgau/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Freiburg im Breisgau</a> with them.&nbsp; Soon we’ll be going to Köln (Cologne) and Paris.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">At the first Stammtisch back in January, I didn’t know anybody except for the friend from Canada that I went with.&nbsp; I didn’t really know what to expect.&nbsp; When we got there, we found the Bosch table and introduced ourselves to the people already there.&nbsp; I didn’t really know what to expect at the time.&nbsp; Stereotypes of Germans told me that we’d probably end up drinking while we were there.&nbsp; Sure enough, we did.&nbsp; As someone who doesn’t drink a lot of beer, or alcohol in general for that matter, I was at a loss as to what drink to pick.&nbsp; And so one of the interns recommended a beer called hefeweizen.&nbsp; <a rel="noreferrer noopener" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wheat_beer" target="_blank">Hefeweizen</a> is a kind of beer brewed with a large amount of wheat and malted barley.&nbsp; I didn’t know that at the time, and all I knew was that it tasted damn good.&nbsp; Definitely than the bitter North American beers.&nbsp; A friend of mine described it as “drinking alcoholic, liquid bread”.&nbsp; I am also told that it’s also got a lot of calories.&nbsp; That’s okay with me, since I probably need to gain a few pounds, or kilograms as people use instead here.&nbsp; I was also able to try a pale lager called <a rel="noreferrer noopener" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pale_lager" target="_blank">helles</a>.&nbsp; This beer wasn’t as good as the hefeweizen, but that’s just personal preference.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-gallery aligncenter has-nested-images columns-default is-cropped wp-block-gallery-1 is-layout-flex wp-block-gallery-is-layout-flex">
<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img data-recalc-dims="1" decoding="async" width="384" height="512" data-id="1016" src="https://i0.wp.com/blog.henrypoon.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/04/img_0452.jpg?resize=384%2C512&#038;ssl=1" alt="" class="wp-image-1016" srcset="https://i0.wp.com/blog.henrypoon.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/04/img_0452.jpg?w=384&amp;ssl=1 384w, https://i0.wp.com/blog.henrypoon.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/04/img_0452.jpg?resize=225%2C300&amp;ssl=1 225w" sizes="(max-width: 384px) 100vw, 384px" /><figcaption>Neckarmüller Hefeweizen (Tübingen, Germany)</figcaption></figure>
</figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Apart from just drinking, I also learned a bit about the drinking culture in Germany.&nbsp; Like other cultures, Germans too will clink their glasses together before they drink, but one thing they must do is look at each person at the table in the eye while doing the clinking the glasses.&nbsp; Otherwise, the person will be destined seven years of bad sex.&nbsp; I don’t think I would have known that if I wasn’t told.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The location of the Stammtisch varies each week.&nbsp; The first week I went, we went to a restaurant that had their own brewery, known as a “brauhaus” (how cool is that?).&nbsp; Another time it was at a Spanish cocktail bar, that had cocktails at a discount if the party was large enough.&nbsp; The most recent Stammtisch took place at a “disco”, which I think is German for club.&nbsp; When I first heard the word, I immediately thought of The Bee Gees in the 70’s with their Saturday Night Fever.&nbsp; I’m not a fan of clubbing, so I opted out of that one.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">While drinking and socializing, I met a people from many different countries.&nbsp; The group was a lot more multicultural than I thought.&nbsp; There were people from Germany, France, Canada, America, China, Hong Kong, Iran, and even Mexico.&nbsp; The only common language between all of us was English.&nbsp; We all pretty much talked for at least 3 hours.&nbsp; There were so many people that I ended up moving seats to get a chance to talk to other people sitting further away.&nbsp; We went in there knowing nobody, but at the end we all weren’t strangers anymore.&nbsp; Kind of like what Forrest Gump said, “Well I guess we ain’t strangers anymore!”</p>
