Common Misconceptions

Every now and then, someone always says that such and such is a misconception, the truth is actually xyz.  Many misconceptions spread virally over time such as things like “Goldfish have only a three-second memory span”, and that “lightning never strikes the same place twice”.  Wikipedia has a nice article that explains a lot of the common misconceptions that people believe.  After reading this article, much of what I thought was true actually turned out to be false.  This article was definitely a good read.
